Multi-Layer Flex Circuit Boards

Multi-Layer flexible circuit boards are a combination of single and/or double-sided flex circuits laminated with adhesive onto a single and/or double-sided material.  There typically are three or more flexible conductive layers with flexible insulating layers between each one, which are interconnected by way of plated through holes (PTH). Multi-layer boards range from 1 to 8 flex layers and up to 10 rigid layers.

Applications

Multi-Sided Flex can be used in:

  • Optical Pick-Up for A/V Equipment and Computers
  • When there are a larger number of signals
  • For signal integrity
  • If stiffeners and components needs to be added
  • Applications such as cameras, battery packs, cell phones, fuel pumps and more.
